FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
How do I import a GPX file into Strava?
How Does a Jockey Work?
We have designed virtual jockeys that closely replicate human behavior. They respond to terrain, elevation changes, and experience fatigue just like real runners. Each jockey has unique characteristics: some are faster, others more enduring; some perform better on flat terrain, while others excel uphill or downhill. Like real people, they have strengths, weaknesses, and individual running styles. This diversity makes each race more realistic and unpredictable.
How do I generate a GPX file?
Select a profile, draw your route, then click the Download GPX button. A payment may be required depending on the service.
Will LocalJockey be offering new sports soon?
Yes! We're actively working on developing new Jockey profiles for additional sports such as cycling, skiing, and surfing. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit card payments through a globally trusted secure platform: Stripe. Your banking information is entered directly on the secure platform and never passes through this site.
What happens if I pay but can't download the GPX file?
Once payment is completed, the GPX file download is immediate. You will also receive an email with your invoice and download link. If you still encounter an issue, contact us through the contact form.
Is the GPX file compatible with Strava, Garmin, etc.?
Yes, the generated files are compatible with most sports platforms (Strava, Garmin, Suunto, etc.).
How can I re-upload my GPX file to Strava?
Local Jockey is an independent platform. To re-upload your GPX file to Strava, you need to do it manually from your computer using Strava’s activity upload page.
I'm having an issue, how can I contact you?
You can use the contact form.
Why is the Local Jockey service not free?
Local Jockey requires significant server resources to operate. We chose to offer a paid service to cover operational costs and maintain high service quality.
